During my Bachelor Degree in Media & Communication at PUC-MG, Brazil, I worked as art director for the university TV channel creating promos and TV spots. After the graduation I set up (along with co-workers) a design bureau, Estudio Sabotage, to explore and experience interaction between different media such as video, photography, print, web and motion design. Afterwards, I moved to São Paulo where I lived for three years working at a renowned commercial film production as director’s assistant and post-production supervisor.
In 2007, I applied to a Master Degree in Visual Communication & Multimedia at IUAV University of Venice, Italy. There, I had opportunity to deepen into typography and interaction design tools and practices what proved to become new passions. At that time, I actively carried on working with type, video, graphic design and new media. Some of these activities granted me awards and scholarship. In 2010, I concluded my master with a thesis on type design and in the same year I had a video exhibited in the Biennale Architecture of Venice.
Currently, I live in Amsterdam where I recently worked as user interface and visual designer at Somehow, a studio that mainly does service design as primary work which includes mobile (Android and iPhone) and back-end websites. Among some projects I participated I should remark Hago Zorg and Schiphol Parking Airport apps.
